I LOVE WORKING AS AN ARTS ADMIN ASSISTANT !

currently work at Gallery Aloft.
I started yesterday at 2 pm after class at Willandra Art Centre with bontanical and wildlife artist Peter Wale. I love the atmosphere at work, It's just so peaceful.
While I'm updating the mailing lists Tania's  painting in the backroom and Kristina making hand crafted jewellery.
It's just amazing how fast they compose a piece in a few hours.
Spanish music plays while I work , the paintings and Jewellery surrounding  me where I do my admin work are really are wonderful!
The women portrayed in Tania wursig work are so sensual and mysterious, such vivid colors are used that seem like they jump out of the canvas at you.
As you gaze at these pieces by Tania Wursig they take you to another land of beauty and mystery.
You tend to ask yourself where are these beautiful women from, why are they there and why can't you be with them as they give you such a great feeling of contentment and ease.
Kristina's jewellery are so cleverly made, no need to go to Angus and Coote guys! Kristina has every type of jewellery piece to suit any occassion! They are just superb.

Gallery Aloft is a MUST SEE!
Go to Gallery Aloft  at Rozelle (across the road from Tilleys the art shop ) and see for yourself!
For more information check out their site :  http://www.galleryaloft.com/

I'm just so happy right now.
I make sure I do my work thoroughly and as fast as I can and make sure I really give my boss Tania 100% each and every day I work.
I'm learning so much in so little time.
I'm just so thankful for this opportunity
Looking forward to work tomorrow! :D

AND REMEMBER!
HAVE PATIENCE WITH EVERYTHING THAT REMAINS UNSOLVED IN YOUR HEART.
TRY TO LOVE THE QUESTIONS THEMSELVES LIKE LOCKED ROOMS OR
BOOKS WRITTEN IN A FORIEGN LANGUAGE.
DO NOT LOOK FOR THE ANSWERS NOW.
THEY CANNOT BE GIVEN TO YOU BECAUSE YOU COULD NOT LIVE THEM NOW.
ITS A QUESTION OF EXPERIENCING EVERYTHING.
AT THE PRESENT YOU NEED TO LIVE THE QUESTION.
GRADUALLY WITHOUT NOTICING IT ,
YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF EXPERIENCING THE ANSWER YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ! :)

I entered the Australasian Body Art Competition at Double Bay !

My Professional Model Lithium with my Body Art Design for the Australasian Body Painting Competition.

"Envy. Is ignorance, it comsumes itself."
I thought a japanese theme would be a great way to portray this idea.
I used Japanese paintings and sketches of dragons and samarai's to show envy.
The dragon representing the watcher over everything.
The samurai being the defiant person trying to rule upsetting the peace, envious of the dragon.

Tim Gratton - Ficilitator announcing the Awards winners for the Australasian Body Competition.

I entered the Australasian Body Art Competition yesterday at The Food Festival , Double Bay Knox St .
It was my first time using body paints!

When you arrived you could do the makeup and hair on your model and It was timed from when your model came.
We were given 3 hours to paint a Body, in relation to the theme 7 deadly sins.
I got the great opportunity to use
Tim Gratton's tool box of art supplies!
Including his own body paints brushes, and body glitters.
I'm so thankful he was kind enough to help me out as I only bought a few body paint colors.
I decided I'd use the liquid paints as they act like acrylic paints.
So it was a familiar territory for me.

The secret is to paint it on like a wash , If you are using the liquid body paint.
Otherwise if you put it on thickly it will peel straight away.
Or you can use Hair Spray to keep it fixated to the body.
This way when you paint over it , it will not smudge.

At the end of 3 hours we had pre-selected music to go with the Body Art.
We had a huge audience to model for.
Lithium and I were called up and introduced to the judges individually by Tim Gratton and I got on the microphone and told a little about what my piece was about.
So my model walked around for the judges with the music " Did my time " by Korn as it worked well with the piece as the song as all about being envious about the other person , basically not being able to handle the situation he was inn.
He did his time and now he wants to be supreme ruler.
The moral of the story is don't be envious about anyone as it doesn't pay off , it consumes itself and
you will end up doomed like the samurai for being defiant.

So much talent in this competition. I really was impressed.
The way they used the cakes and liquids really was done VERY well.

I just loved every moment of it, seeing how the paints sit on skin I just gave It a go and used my imagination!
It's a very interesting surface to paint on, very different from painting on canvas's... alot harder then it looks.

But with practice I will get use to the medium alot better! :D
Everyone kept telling me I did very well for a beginner :D
I'm going to really love experimenting with this medium!
Definately entering next year! :D

I  met a very talented artist named Tania Wursig.
Tania is a Sydney based artist known for her Flamboyant palette and exploration of the sensual, her paintings are of celebrating the feminine.

This is her stall set up at the Food Festival.
Her art is just amazing , I fell in love with it straight away.
I couldn't stop looking at her art , the use of color, the way she painted it was just wonderful.
It really inspired me , I just wanted to run home and paint after seeing her works!

If you want to see more of her artworks check out her website http://www.taniawursig.com/
You won't be disapointed!
Her work is truely amazing!

Tania owns an Art Gallery in Rozelle called Gallery Aloft.
I asked if she could let me do some volunteer work for her as I study Arts Administration and she told me as she leads a very busy lifestyle it would be perfect for me to come inn and help her out in assisting with work where she would pay me ! :D
At that point , It honestly made my day.
I was just so happy I was speechless.
Everything is happening naturally for me these days , everything I wanted I've been achieving.
I really couldn't ask for more.
So take this as an example !
MAKE YOUR OPPORTUNITIES IF YOU CAN'T FIND THEM!
HAVE FAITH IN YOUR DREAMS, AND SOON YOUR RAINBOW WILL COME SHINING THROUGH!
Be obesessed with your specific goals.
Focus and  sacrifice time.
It will really pay off! :D

DEMONSTRATED PAINTING WILDLIFE AT MENAI WITH FAMOUS ARTIST DEREK O'BRIAN!

Today I arrived at Menai Shopping Centre at 3pm and demonstrated painting wildlife till 5:30pm.
I was painting with famous artist Derek O'brian!
He's a lovely man, he loves the same artists as I do including Jia Wei Shen so we had lots to talk about !
The experience was exciting though!
My Tiger painting got moved to the front of the exhibition it has had ALOT of good feeback. The show manager told me If it didn't sell she'd be very surprised!
I had alot of  great feedback from the public saying how talented I was and If I did commissioned paintings,
If I had facebook  or a website so they could keep up to date with my art work!
Five women told me I'll go a long way with my talent.
I couldn't be happier hearing that come from a total stranger.
Even little kids were saying look mommy how pretties her lion and cub painting.
I'm just very grateful people took the time to look at my art and give me feeback .
IT IS ALL APPRECIATED!
I managed to get 8 customers today! All keen for wildlife art!
I'm just so happy all my hardwork is paying off.
But this is only the beginning!

THE PEOPLE WHO GET ON IN THIS WORLD,
ARE THE PEOPLE WHO GET UP AND LOOK FOR THE CIRCUMSTANCES THEY WANT,
AND IF THEY CANT FIND THEM ,
THEY MAKE THEM!

I LIVE BY THIS QUOTE!
YOU CAN TOO ! APPLY IT TO YOUR LIFE EACH AND EVERYDAY AND YOU WILL GET THE RESULTS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!

Learnt ALOT about Body Painting today and marketing your product !

I met the very talented Becstar Anthony today who is a professional Body Art painter.
She taught me about what non toxic paints to buy,  what brushes and sponges to use.
If you are interested in seeing some of her art check out her website
http://www.becstaranthony.com/

The brand Tag  is very cheap and good quality and once you get more experienced you can then buy Paradise which is a more expensive and higher quality.
It was really interesting hearing about the process of Body Painting.
You first use a white eyeliner pencil to draw out your outline, then do your base colors and work from lights to darks.
Bec is conducting worshops next year called " Becstar 2010 Tour "
I'm definately going to participate in her workshops!

You can buy your body painting products from Amy Grigg her website is
http://www.amygrigg.com.au/
and other sites include If you want to see more of her art :

I am entering the Australasian Body Painting competition at Double Bay run by Tim Gratton.

For more information  on registering for this competition for the Australasian Body Painting competition at Double Bay ,email Tim Gratton on

Today I also met a really down to earth real aussie guy  who makes very funny t-shirts and other merchandise which are raised for charities.
I bought one since it was going towards such a good cause!
So far he's raised 229,000 for the hospitals and other charities!  Very inspiring stuff.
Great way to market your product, through a charity.
Not only do you do it for a cause, you get your products out there for the public to see.
Remember to put your website on every product you sell!
Give them your business card and tell your customer about what other promotions you may have going on, keep them interested so they buy more of your products!
Compliment them , get them in their comfort zone to open up to you and ask about your product.
You will succeed at selling your product well if you apply these simple rules to your business.

So remember the business name VIZEARTS!
Soon I'll do the same and raise money towards Blindess/Diabetes, as my mother is partially blind and I feel I need to do this to raise awareness of the importance of keeping a healthy and active lifestyle.
Stay  healthy ,active and focused always.... don't let anything get in your way of true happiness!
Look at me, I stick to a routine everyday and I don't break it.
I'm constantly networking and learning so much very quickly.
My business VIZEARTS is already BOOMING and I only started less than a month ago advertising my art.

Here's a very blurry picture of me and  t-shirt maker Dirty Pierre wearing his t-shirts saying " WIPE YA EYES PRINCESS... AND HARDEN THE F#CK UP" lol he's too funny made me laugh cracking jokes while we took the photo.

Inspiration for my T-shirt business most definately ! Reminding me to market towards every age group!

Peter just knows instantly, what to do to correct your mistakes as he has had years of practice.
He is a very versatile artist.
He can teach you anything, you desire to learn in any medium.

This is a project Peter is currently working on , the drawing on Canson tracing paper and  below is the Underpainting.
The Underpainting below is painted on masonite.

One of his finished paintings he exihibited in The 50th Golden Anniversay of Ryde Art Society.

His knowledge on everything is just amazing!
I personally ask him 50 questions a day or more on what I don't understand and he gives me a very clear demonstration to show how It's done.
During every lesson, I write down every word  he tells me or other students in our class in a note book .
It really pays off though,  I'm learning so much in such little time.
He is worth investing time into in a class or just a workshop so you can see for yourself how brilliant this man is at art !
I really appreciate meeting him , he has really opened my eyes to the possibilities me as an artist is capable of.
He made me realise what direction I should  take to persue my dreams.
I wake up everyday thankful for meeting him he is truely inspiring!

2nd day at the chalk festival where I PAINTED LIVE FOR THE PUBLIC!

Day 2, all the chalk artists had progressed to do ALOT of work in a day.
Here are some pictures on their art :

I painted in public for the first time, it truely was exciting!
Alot of people gathered around and gave me great feedback.
One guy said " Wow.. wow.. wow" over and over again and kept watching me paint I was so happy to get such a compliment.
Others said " I just wanted to tell you I appreciate the talent! "
" Your amazing, do you  sell your art , I'd love to buy one! "
                 " That's wonderful! love the colors... "

A man in a wheelchair watched me paint for hours , he looked so at ease smiling at me saying
"Keep going don't let me distract you!"
I replied " Eye eye captain"  lol

A photographer started taking pics of my art , I thought he was part of the filming for the chalk urban fest. But he was a freelance photographer who said he'd take proffessional pics for me of me painting for free cos he just adored my work!
I'll upload the pics of me painting at the chalk fest once I get them off the photographer :D
My career as an artist is BOOMING. I'm really happy with my progress!
